Canterbury Christ Church students can expect another Summer Ball to remember in 2010. Following the success of last year’s ball, with acts such as Edith Bowman, Tinchey Stryder and DJ Ironik turning out to play, this years line-up has a lot to live up to.
The University look like they have pulled a good few names out of the hat to play the evening bash this year. Headlining are Welsh rock legends ‘Feeder’, who have been in the game for over 20 years now. Supporting them will be ‘Example' – an upcoming British rapper, who has been popular amongst the young crowd since the turn of the year. Other acts consist of 'Miniviva', 'Girls Can’t Catch' and 'The Guillemots'.
But, it seems that the University of Kent have stolen the limelight this year with they’re chosen acts – headlining their ball are Florence and The Machine, probably the hottest British act around, as well as a Pendulum DJ set. Still, Christ Church can still have some say in who has the best acts to show off – ‘Maybe Gaga’ will be at the 2010 ball – Don’t know her? Well, she is pop icon ‘Lady GaGa’s’ impersonator. That’s got to be worth the ticket price of £40, right?
